FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: roller contains matrix material of roller and coating on its surface applied by plasma spraying. Coating consists of metal-ceramic material wherein contents of ceramic material are not over 80% in weight or it consists out of heat-resistant alloy. Also there is an oxide layer of one or more metals from Cr, Si, Zr and Al with roughness R on coating applied by plasma spraying. At measuring on base of standard JIS B0633 there is used ratio R/R' between parametre R of roughness of surface of the said oxide layer measured in case, when value of a step of cut off is equal to some initial value and parametre R' of roughness, measured in case, when value of a cut off step equals to 1/10 of the said initial value, equal to 4 and more.

EFFECT: increased friction ratio by increased roughness of roller surface.
