FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair jobs, particularly, to recovery of ICE crankshaft journals. Proposed method comprises applying the coat consisting of composite material layers, i.e. sub layer with thickness making 0.10-0.15 mm of journal diametre, heat removing damping layer with thickness making 0.2-0.3 mm and operating layer. Said coats are applied by flame spraying with heating of composite wire-type cord material consisting of filler and organic binder that sublimates at 400°C onto surface being recovered in gas flame jet to temperature approximating to that of material melting point, and its transfer on prepared surface of substrate layer. Note here that to prepare sub layer, filler from thermo reactive material is used. Filler from copper-based material is used for hear removing damping layer, and filler from wear resistant material is used for working layer. Note also that journals sizes and sprayed coat surface temperature are controlled. Mind that sprayed coat is finished after natural cooling and holding of crankshaft.
EFFECT: higher quality of surface coat, longer life and lower costs.
