FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: shock table has a shaft joined to one butt-end of a cylindrical explosion chamber inside of which there is an explosive charge, and a screw plug which is fitted on the other butt-end of the explosion chamber. Between the explosive charge and the plug there is one or more rings with a thread on the outer lateral surface, where the outer diametre of each ring is equal to the outer diametre of the plug, and the inner diametre meets the condition for equality of the surface area of each ring falling under the loading effect of the explosive charge in the coaxial direction with the thread, which corresponds to area on the surface of the plug. Between the ring and the plug and between rings there are gaps which are sealed from explosion products and prevent interaction of rings with each other and the plug under the loading effect of the explosion products of the explosive charge.

EFFECT: longer service life of the shock table.
