FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method for detection of volume and density of soil particles consists in the fact that samples of soil are placed into reservoir for sample, which is connected to metering reservoir. Also reservoir for sample is connected to pressure sensor by means of pneumatic line with valve. Then valve between metering reservoir and sample reservoir is closed. Then pressure is developed in metering reservoir, which is higher than atmospheric one. Then valve is opened between metering reservoir and sample reservoir, pressure sensor readings are taken, and volume of particles is calculated. At the same time volume of soil particles is calculated according to the following formula: , where p1 - excess pressure in reservoir with volume V1, p2 - excess pressure in system with volume of (V1+V2-V). And density of soil particles is found using formula .

EFFECT: increased accuracy of soil particles volume and density measurement.
