FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: multilayer diaphragm diagnosis system for use in a production process device has a multilayer diaphragm and diagnostic apparatus. The diaphragm is made with possibility of linking the production process device to process fluid and has several layers. The first layer from several layers is exposed to the process fluid. The diagnostic apparatus is connected to the diaphragm so as to monitor the electrical parametre of the diaphragm and in turn determine the operating condition of the diaphragm based on change in the monitored electrical parametre, where the electrical parametre is a function of the time varying signal applied to the diaphragm. Disclosed also is one more version of the multilayer diaphragm diagnosis system and a method of determining the operating condition of a multilayer insulating diaphragm.
EFFECT: invention enables real time diagnosis of a diaphragm.
