FIELD: metallurgy, electrolysis.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electrode for electro-chemical processes of production of gas in electrolytic cell, to electrolytic cell, and also to electrolytic process of production of gaseous halogen in said electrolytic cell. The essence of the invention is as follows: the electrode has a multitude of horizontal lamel elements of 3D shape. Part of their surface directly contacts an ion-exchanging membrane. At least one said groove is equipped with at last one opening. Also at least one said opening is positioned in the said part of surface directly contacting the ion-changing membrane.
EFFECT: prevention of gas products capture in zone of contact of electrode and membrane, also minimisation of electrode screening.
