FIELD: metallurgy, electrolysis.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to facilities for determination of levels of metal and electrolyte in electrolytic cell during operation. The facility consists of a thermo-resistant rod fastening assembly containing a fixing bushing with a hold-down screw and a disk rigidly fastened on the bushing. Further, the facility consists of a control unit including a fork with its one end hinged to the disk, while with another end rigidly, for example by welding, fixed on a tube out of non-magnetic material. The tube is equipped with a level metre. An adjusting rod is installed inside the tube. A handle is rigidly, for example by welding, is positioned at one end of this rod. Working surface of the handle is flattened. A fixing head is made on the opposite end of the rod. The adjusting rod and the fork are thread connected facilitating control of rod position along axis. A holder in form of "П"-shape plate is freely installed in the fork. Also contact surface of the holder corresponds to profile of the disk.

EFFECT: on-line monitoring of metal and electrolyte amount in each separate electrolytic cell facilitating efficient stable operation, upgraded accuracy of melt level measurement in electrolytic cell, improved control of electrolysing process and also increased service life and functionality of facility.
