FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in other cases when short-term force impacts are required to be applied to work body. Invention is intended for use in pulsed non-explosive seismic source to generate seismic signals from ground surface. Proposed drive comprises electromagnet with excitation winding and reservoir capacitor with charging device connected via switching device to excitation winding, and diode connected in parallel to said winding.
EFFECT: increased force generated by electromagnetic motor of seismic source and smaller area of excitation winding cross section due to connection of throttle in series with excitation winding.
