FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and is intended for predicting risk of hemorrhage from gastric varices. By means of endoscopic ultrasonography measurement of diametre of varicose veins of stomach is carried out and if its value is less than 4 mm absence of hemorrhage risk is predicted, if the diametre value is higher than 4 mm, presence of hemorrhage risk is predicted.
EFFECT: method allows to predict risk of hemorrhage from gastric varices on the basis of data of endoscopic ultrasonography.
