METHOD OF ENDOSCOPIC SCLEROTHERAPY OF OESOPHAGUS AND STOMACH VARICOSITY Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61B17/00 A61K31/00

Abstract RU 2601861 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and surgery. Sclerogenic substance is endoscopically intravasally introduced into the oesophageal varicose veins. Microfoam with total volume of 10.0 ml of 1.0 ml of 3 % fibrovein and 9.0 ml of carbon dioxide is prepared directly before introduction. If a diameter of varicose veins is less than 6 mm, one entry of said volume is performed in their lower one-third. If a diameter is more than 6 mm, two entries in a venous barrel are performed at the level of lower and middle one-third of oesophagus. Sessions, consisting of 2 entries are repeated with a gap of 1-2 days. Treatment step is repeated in one month. Repeated step is followed by check endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasonography and, if necessary, by sclerosing sessions. Check examination - 1 time a year.

EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness and obtaining stable therapeutic effect due to reduced risk of complications and recurrent haemorrhages of oesophageal and stomach varicose veins due to repeated using microfoam with carbon dioxide.
