FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nature conservation and can be used in purifying water from poisonous and dangerous insoluble and partially soluble organic compounds. The device for electrolytic treatment of liquid has a cylindrical housing with an outlet nozzle connected to the positive terminal of a direct current source, and a cylindrical flow cathode coaxially placed inside the housing and connected to a liquid inlet nozzle. The said cathode has holes in which there are inserts made from electrically insulating material. The device is fitted with a liquid disperser with an inlet and an outlet nozzle connected with the nozzle for inlet of liquid into the cathode on whose surface there are holes on a helical generatrix and inserts in the holes protrude towards the housing of the device and have a longitudinal channel which connects the inside of the cathode to the inside of the device. The part of the inserts which protrudes from the holes spreads out in the vertical plane towards the liquid inlet nozzle and is turned in the horizontal plane about the lateral surface of the cathode.

EFFECT: less expenses on purifying liquid due to higher efficiency of the device; higher output of the device; higher degree of decomposition of insoluble and partially soluble poisonous and dangerous organic compounds to obtain environmentally safe and biologically active compounds.
