FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in an apparatus for monitoring suspended particles there is continuous monitoring of the content of organic carbon and the depth of destructive processes. Said apparatus has a clarifier, a mechanism for feeding the solution and a light flux analyser consisting of a light source, a measurement chamber for the analyser, elements for analysing and converting the signal and recording, signalling and control devices. The measurement chamber of the analyser is fitted with connecting pipes for inlet and outlet of the solution, which are connected to the clarifier and the mechanism for feeding the solution. The clarifier is in form of an apparatus for liquid-phase oxidation of organic compounds. The mechanism for feeding the solution is in form of a disperser and the recording and control device gives out a signal in units of organic carbon and gives a command for ending the liquid-phase oxidation process.

EFFECT: shorter process and low electric power consumption, possibility of obtaining useful products during oxidative liquid-phase neutralisation of poisonous and dangerous insoluble and partially soluble organic compounds.
