SUBSTANCE: handling mode of drapery includes a preliminary application on the face side of the detail of a plaguet single cut from the main part, which sides are lines of stitching the plaguet. On the same side the line of cutting are applied, whose peaks are the points of intersection of lines of cutting and lines of stitching the plaguet. Along the lines of cutting two parallel machine-stitches are made. The excess if fabric located between lines of undercutting and the plaguet is cut out. Gathers are made by tautness of seams thread laid along the lines of cuttings, forming a drapery. Undercuts are stitched along the planned lines with location of the seam allowances of stitching of the undercuts on the face side. The plaguet is bent into halves lengthwise and is stitched it along the planned lines on the face side. Seam allowance of the plaguet and the undercutting to the top of undercutting in the area of 20 mm is cut. Threads of seams forming a gather are removed. The plaguet is bent back and the seam of stitching the undercutting and the seam of stitching the plaguet are ironed out, placing it on the center of the plaguet. The plaguet is placed to its original position, aligning the seam allowances of undercutting stitching, and the plaguet is stitched on the main detail.

EFFECT: invention provides technological cleanliness of processing the drapery while saving the material.
