FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed guard comprises flap hinged to supports to turn in horizontal plane. Said flaps are split-jointed by means of device intended for locking flaps across motorway. Said locking device consists of two split-jointed parts, each mounted on cantilever end of the flap with the help of quick release units to be detached from the flap at outer impact effects. Besides, said guard comprises protective barrier representing a vertical elongated net. Said net consists of two parts, one of them secured to one of aforesaid parts of interlocking device, and the other one to appropriate winder/unwinder drum (WUD). The latter can be secured onto the base to rotate thereon with adjustable moment of resistance to rotation. Net has reserve length and is mounted so that to allow its tensioning when flaps are arranged across motorway, and is located ahead of flaps along traffic direction. In compliance with one version, each flap opens and closes automatically driven be geared motor connected to guard control system. Every WUD incorporates net winding drive connected to said control system and brake representing multi-disk friction coupling with hydraulic control. Guard comprises also moving automobile weighing device and that to reveal and measure automobile speed that comprises weight transducers and moving automobile transducers, respectively, connected with guard control system.
