METHOD OF PRENATAL ASPIRATION HYDROPERICARDIUM DRAINAGE IN FOETAL PERICARDIUM GROWTH Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B8/00 A61B10/00

Abstract RU 2400142 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology, perinatology and concerns a method of prenatal aspiration hydropericardium drainage in foetal pericardium growth. Substance of the method consists that pilot fetal ultrasound and preparation of a mother by preanaesthetic medication, local anaesthesia is followed by determination of a comfortable position of a foetus to perform aspiration pericardium drainage. That is followed by actually ultrasound-aided cordocentesis with blood sampling and introduction of the muscle relaxant "Arduan" in dosage 0.1-0.2 ml per 1 kg of estimated foetus weight into a lumen of the umbilical vein. In case of no cordocentesis complications and normal fetal heart rate observed, a puncture needle is inserted consistently in the amniotic cavity, to the intercostal space and into the pericardium cavity to be equispaced from borders of the pericardial sac and cardiac muscle, a mandrin is removed, and pericardial fluid is discharged as much s possible, then the needle is removed.

EFFECT: use of the method allows eliminating the squeezing of pulmonary tissue and cardiac muscle by increasing exudates of the pericardial cavities, fluid evacuation from the pericardial cavity allows improving the fetal state, preventing complications and prolonging pregnancy to the foetal viability period.
