FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to prenatal diagnostics. In ultrasonic examination measurement of heart at the level of four-chamber section. Two greatest mutually perpendicular diameters - its length and thickness are determined. Index of heart compression is calculated by division of heart length by its thickness. Index of heart compression from 1.3 to 1.5 corresponds to mild and medium severity of postnatal state of newborn baby, and index of compression from 1.5 and higher - about severe and extremely severe degree of severity.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase reliability of prediction of state of newborn baby with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, which is achieved due to application of heart parameters for calculation.
