METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE PREDICTION FOR TREATMENT OUTCOME IN SURGICAL METHODS OF CORRECTION OF TWIN-TWIN TRANSFUSION SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B10/00

Abstract RU 2676971 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to obstetrics, and can be used in predicting the outcome of surgical methods for the correction of twin-twin transfusion syndrome. To do this, determine the following indicators: the duration of the operation (DO, in hours), the prenatally determined expected weight of the recipient (PWR, in kilograms) and donor (PWD, in kilograms), the presence of cardiomegaly in fetuses (CM), the presence of infection obtained by taking a smear from the cervical canal (I). Then, using the formula, the probability of a favorable outcome (P) is calculated: P=0.065×DO–0.02×PWR–0.03×PWD+8.5×CM+4.3×I–0.696. When P<0, a high probability of a favorable outcome is predicted when gestation of one or two fetuses after surgical intrauterine intervention. If P>0, the probability of gestation of one or two fetuses after surgical intrauterine intervention is regarded as low.

EFFECT: method provides the most accurate prediction of the outcome of surgical treatment for laser coagulation of the vascular anastomoses of the placenta in twin-twin transfusion syndrome on the basis of selected indicators.
