FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology. An all-point corneal thickness (in mcm) is determined by optical coherence tomography (OCT). The corneal structure is investigated by confocal microscopy and endothelial cell count, and the corneal topography is studied by computer-assisted keratotopography. And if the central corneal thickness is less than 450 mcm, and the confocal microscopy shows the changes in posterior stormy mainly, represented by vertically oriented folds of its supraendothelial part, intrastromal keratoplasty with introduction of a corneal semi-ring implant and correction of residual ametropia by implantation of phakic torus intraocular lenses is recommended. If the central corneal thickness determined by the OCT exceeds 450 mcm, and the confocal microscopy presents the changes in the anterior stroma represented by chaotic folds, an integrated treatment including intrastromal keratoplasty with introduction of a corneal semi-ring implant and correction of residual ametropia by transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy is indicated.
EFFECT: invention can be used for pathogenetically grounded treatment of initial and developed keratoconus.
