FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to the method of producing monovalent nickel cationic complexes (1) [Ni(COD)L)]+BF4 - in solution. Cyclooctadiene-1,5 (COD) and L - cyclooctadiene cyclic isomerisation product or cyclooctadiene-1,5 dimerisation product make stabilising ligands. These complexes make promising catalysts of olefin hydracarbon conversion including their ring formation. Proposed method consists in forming nickel (I) cationic complexes via interaction in atmosphere of inert gas (argon, nitrogen) dissolved in benzol, toluene or cyclooctadiene-1,5 of nickel (0) complex Ni(COD)2 with boron trifluoride etherate. Note here that intensive EPR signal from cationic complex of nickel (I) is recorded in said system.
EFFECT: for formed cationic complex stabilisation, no other stabilising ligands are required.
