FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic purification of process liquids. Proposed method comprises continuous feed of liquid to be separated into tight reservoir incorporating a combination of magnetic ducts representing a set of alternating magnetic and nonmagnetic sections arranged in tubes made from nonmagnetic materials and intermittent removal of settled magnetic particles by sluicing mechanism acting perpendicular to magnetic duct axes. Liquid to be purified is fed along magnetic duct axis and liquid flow is stabilised along said axes by arranging guiding elements between said ducts. Liquid purifier comprises tank with branch pipes and baffles, horizontal magnetic ducts representing tubes made from nonmagnetic materials and accommodating continuous chain of magnetic and nonmagnetic elements arranged to divide the duct into working and non-working zones. The latter interact with intermittent reciprocation linear drive rod. Inner sections of non-working zone represent a pusher with spherical tips thrusting against capsules.
