FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: propylene-containing material, water and/or isopropyl alcohol are brought into contact with a catalyst in form of a heteropoly acid of general formula H3+qM312-qVqPO40 (1) and a heteropoly compound of general formula M1mM2nH3+q-mM312-qVqPO40 (2), where M1, M2 denote Cu, Cs, K, Na, Li, Ca, Ba; M3 denotes W and/or Mo; 0 ≤ m ≤ 2; 0 ≤ n ≤ 1.5, 0 ≤ q ≤ 2, where m, n and q denote the number of corresponding atom equivalents. Contact takes place in two steps, whereby at the first step propylene-containing material and water are brought into contact with a catalyst of general formula (1), at the second step the reaction mixture obtained at the first step is brought into contact with a catalyst of general formula (2) and contact takes place at temperature between 110 and 180°C and reaction mixture pressure between 0.1 and 3 MPa.
EFFECT: high output of end product.
