FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method for formation and opencast of temporary idle open pit wall, including creation of temporary idle open pit wall section in zone of mining works with platforms at the ends of pillar with width identified on the basis of mining equipment arrangement, required distance for location of exploded rock mass and volume of rock that must be left in pillar. At the same time opencast of temporary idle wall is done at the ends, through recovery of mining works at the side of platforms to centre of pillar, starting from upper horizon or simultaneously along full height of pillar.
EFFECT: reduced scope of works required for preparation of temporary idle wall for opencast.
