FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for operation of power supply unit from grid as blocking transformer, besides in accumulation phase via primary winding (2), which is energised with voltage (U1) of intermediate DC circuit, magnetic energy is accumulated in core of transformer (1), and in subsequent unloading phase accumulated magnetic energy is mostly delivered to load via secondary winding (3), and insignificant part of magnetic energy is distributed at primary side. At the same time energy distributed at primary side charges capacitor (13) so that voltage of capacitor (13) is always higher than voltage applied at the secondary side multiplied by transformation ratio of transformer (1).
EFFECT: reduced power losses.
