FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric engineering and it can be used as a regulator for voltage stabilisers with strict requirements to shape of output voltage. Thyristor regulator of alternating voltage contains transformer, which secondary winding is connected between clamps of the network and load, control unit consisting of control transformer, power supply source, synchronised pulse-width modulator and output cascades and four circuits, each of them containing bridge-connected thyristor with pick-off diode. One bridge diagonal is connected by pick-off diodes with network clamps, while the other one is formed by opposing thyristors, and through current sensor it is connected to the primary winding of transformer. Each circuit is shunted by antiparallel controllable gate. Between similar outputs of thyristors of the network diagonal there are installed commutating capacitors, and current sensor is connected by its output to control unit. By its regulating properties such thyristor regulator is close to devices based on fully-controllable keys; it has minimum quantity of load-bearing elements; its control algorithm is simpler and reliability is higher.
EFFECT: improving reliability and simplifying control algorithm.
