FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: blood velocity in arteria umbilicalis and right arteria uterina is measured by Doppler ultrasound to derive the initial values of arteria umbilicalis and right arteria uterina in pregnant women on their 16-24 weeks of gestation. A placental coefficient (PC) is calculated. The hyperventilation loading test with breath during 2 sec and exhalation during 4 sec is followed by another Doppler ultrasound of blood velocity in arteria umbilicalis and right arteria uterina 30 sec later to calculate the loading placental coefficient (PCload). The loading placental coefficient shift (ΔPC) is calculated. In the initial state and after loading, there are also calculated the loading heart rate shift (ΔHR), loading max. and min. RR interval difference shift (ΔD). A certain combination of the specified parametres enables to predict either normal gestation course, or the risk of obstetric complications with unfavourable outcomes for mother and/or foetus.

EFFECT: method is noninvasive, allows for individual prediction of gestation course and necessary reliability of estimates of local and systemic haemodynamics of a mother organism.
