FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises crystalliser and guide device arranged under said crystalliser and made up of assemblage of rolls. Rolls are arranged in lines parallel to axis of ingoting (X) in each of two opposite sides of the ingot. First line is located nearby ingot edge, one line of central rolls is located nearby aforesaid axis (X) and second line if side rolls is located nearby ingot second edge. Rotational axes of said central rolls are arranged staggered relative to rotational axes of said side rolls. Rotational axes of the pair of adjacent rolls of aforesaid first and second lines of side rolls are located at the distance equal to first spacing (p, pi, pe), while those of two central rolls are located at the distance equal to second spacing (m, me, mj). Said first (p, pi, pe) and second (m, me,mj;) spacings can take different values.
EFFECT: attenuation of liquid steel pulsation and reduced deformation.
