SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgical production. Mould features two wide concave walls including concave central zone with concavity, straight wall areas (R) at the central zone ends, and middle convex connective sites (S) with convexity oriented towards longitudinal symmetry plane (X). Sites (S) and concave central zone define curve bend points (P'), and straight wall areas (R) with sites (S) define connection points (P). d/l length ratio comprises 10 to 60%, and h/f ratio is 10 to 60%, where d is connection site (S) length measured as projection at longitudinal symmetry plane (X), l is distance between two symmetrical connection points against transverse symmetry plane (Y), h is distance between connection point P and bend point P' measured as projection at transverse symmetry plane Y, f is distance between point P' and tangential line to concave zone at maximum concavity point, measured as projection at the symmetry plane Y.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption in the process of thin slab obtainment.
