FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine and is used for injections of liquid medications, performed by patients themselves, as well as in giving first medical aid in conditions of emergency situations, in war conditions and to people injured in catastrophes, accidents and natural disasters. Automatic injector contains case with located in it ampoule with medication, safety device and needle-holder with injection needle, whose other opposite end is made with possibility to puncture ampoule surface, trigger mechanism and piston. Needle-holder is made in form of two connected cylinders of different diametre. Cylinder of larger diametre is provided with ring groove and butt end site. Safety device is made in form of hollow cylindrical stepped plug, whose smaller cylinder on lateral internal surface is connected with external surface of needle-holder and rests on its butt end site. Wall of smaller cylinder under action of force applied during injection, has possibility to round butt end site of needle-holder and slide along its ring groove walls. Ampoule represents corrugated reservoir and is located between butt end planes of piston and safety device. Larger cylinder of needle-holder is connected with its guide part, interacting with case. Ampoule, piston, safety device and needle-holder are installed successively and coaxially and have possibility of simultaneous movement along case axis.

EFFECT: invention ensures reliable protection against untimely and accidental puncture of ampoule and introduction of medication to patient in corpore.
