SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ozone generator with two electrodes (3,5) and a dielectric layer (15) in between, arranged such that between the dielectric layer (15) and one of the electrodes (5) there is an ozonation gap (13) through which oxygen-containing gas may flow. The capacitance (CD) of the dielectric layer (15) falls and/or thickness of the said layer increases in the direction of flow of the gas. The width of the ozonation gap (13) on the inlet side is greater than that on the outlet side.
EFFECT: ozone generator is characterised by high efficiency.
