FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly to forming bent or twisted profiles with their cross section varying over their length in transfer along production line. Flat metal strip is unwound from the bobbin. Note here that production line uses devices intended for cutting strip edges and a number of sheet bending roller devices that can be displaced relative to each other in crosswise direction relative to the strip. Both edge cutting devices and sheet bending device enjoy independent control. Formed profile is subjected to bending in appropriate section that makes a part of production line and comprises pairs of rolls that can be controlled to roll profile sidewalls to het them thickened which results of profile bending or twisting. Rolls operation and sheet bending rolls are controlled by one software program so that rolls pairs watch profile walls to have the line between rolls axes in one pair always stays perpendicular to rolled surface.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
