FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to safety measures in operation of motor transport, namely to device designed to protect driver against attack. Proposed device is made up of mechanism to isolate driver from passenger behind him that is secured to driver seat back. It represents electromechanical impact-locking power device. Said power device is arranged in blank cylindrical bore on drive seat back rear side and represents a coiled helical spring. Said spring top faces the passenger and locked as-compressed in said bore by means of flat retainer rod. The latter has its one end fitted inside said helical spring nearby its top and its other end secured to electromagnet core. Electromagnet excitation winding is connected to automobile power supply system via flexible fitted at driver feet. Depth of pedal depression defines signal level in excitation winding and distance of pulling retainer rod out of aforesaid helical spring to allow increasing force that presses the passenger to its set back by said impact-locking mechanism.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection.
