FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for fabrication of templates consists in templates cutting by means of processing flat metal work-piece with electro-erosion treatment; contour of templates is formed by tearing particles of metal with pulse of electric discharge occurring between electrode and item in liquid dielectric. Also a template is cut with a brass electrode of 0.25 mm diametre at current power 45 A and speed of brass electrode rewinding 60-300 mm/sec. Additionally, as dielectric there is used process water of dielectric permeability 80 F/m; level of dielectric over surface of templates amounts to 100-190 mm.
EFFECT: reduced time for templates fabrication, reduced metal consumption ratio, increased accuracy of templates, possibility to make templates out of any grade of steel in batches, and reduced consumption of dielectric.
