FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: when realising the method, a preliminary experiment is carried out before the main testing experiments in order to determine the reasonable seed sprouting period of the test plant, as well as for plants to be irrigated in the given area, wherein the reasonable seed sprouting period is determined for each type of plant. This period is influenced by the quality of the irrigation water. Therefore in one preliminary experiment reruns are carried out for different sprouting periods. After measuring the length of roots of all sprouts on all reruns, the biotechnical pattern of growth of the best sprouts in each rerun is determined through statistical modelling, from which mathematical analysis of the half cycle of the sprouting time is carried out. In each rerun, measurement results are ranked in descending order of the length of the roots. The biotechnical patterns of ranked distribution of the sprouts are determined. Further, reruns with a reasonable sprouting period, from which ranked distribution of population groups of sprouts is determined, are selected and mathematical analysis is carried out to determine lagging sprouts inside one selected rerun with a reasonable sprouting period.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of testing water samples owing to achieving optimum seed sprouting period of one type of plant in preliminary experiments before the main testing experiments.
