FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and aims at the determination of perfusion pressure in the anterior eye segment. In a prone patient under local installation anaesthesia with his eyelids fixed with a blepharostat, diastolic and systolic pressures are measured under the microscope in each branch of the anterior ciliary arteries in the place of their penetration successively. After average hemodynamic pressure is calculated in each of the specified branches, average pressure in the anterior ciliary arteries is calculated as a whole. The calculations are conducted under the standard formulas. Thereafter, perfusion pressure is calculated in the anterior eye segment as a difference of average pressure in the anterior ciliary arteries and actual intraocular pressure.

EFFECT: method allows improving raise accuracy of determination of perfusion pressure in the anterior eye segment due to pressure measurement not in one, but in all the anterior ciliary arteries feeding this segment, in a point considered as the most adequate to the intraocular blood flow status in the environment of externally unchanged vessels.
