SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a pharmaceutical composition containing rifaximin in the form of gastroresistant microgranules, a polymer insoluble at pH values 1.5 to 4.0 and soluble at pH values 5.0 to 7.5. Also the invention provides a method for preparation and application of the specified pharmaceutical composition for making medicinal preparations applicable for the treatment of inflammatory intestinal diseases and, mainly Crohn's disease.
EFFECT: use of the pharmaceutical composition allows improving therapeutic effect of rifaximin in the treatment of intestinal diseases, facilitating the introduction of high and low doses, eg, when applied in pediatrics.
