FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for thickening and emulsifying a topical cosmetic, dermopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical composition in form of inverse latex, containing: a) 50-80 wt % of at least one linear, branched or cross-linked organic polymer (P); b) 5-10 wt % emulsifying system (S1) of the water in oil type (E/H); c) 5-45 wt % of at least one oil; and d) 5 wt % water. At least one neutral monomer of formula (I') makes up 0.01-10 mol % of monomer links which contain the said polymer P: CH2=CH-C(=O)-O-(CH2-CH2-O)n-R'4 (I'), where R'4 denotes an aliphatic radical selected from octyl, decyl, dodecyl, tetradecyl, hexadecyl, octadecyl, eicosyl, docosyl, tetracosyl radicals, and n' is a number ranging from 4 to 25; or compounds of formula (I"): CH2=C(CH3)-C(=O)-O-(CH2-CH2-O)n"-R"4 (I"), in which radical R"4 denotes an aliphatic radical selected from octyl, dodecyl, tetradecyl, hexadecyl, octadecyl, eicosyl, docosyl, tetracosyl; and n" is a number ranging from 4 to 25. The invention also discloses a method of preparing the said composition and its use.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain concentrated inverse latex having high resistance to electrolytes.
