FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: vacuum silicone cleaning method involves charging of cleaned silicone to melting pot, its melting by using vacuum electron-beam heating, exposure of molten metal in melting pot for impurities to evaporate and its crystallisation so that cleaned silicone is obtained. At that, exposure of melt is performed at intensive heating of central part of melt surface and heat removal from upper part of melting pot wall at the melt surface level and from central part of melting pot bottom. Heat is removed from upper part of melting pot wall with higher intensity in comparison to heat removed from central part of melting pot bottom. Molten metal is crystallised with heat removal only from melting pot bottom at uniform decrease of heating intensity of molten metal surface. Device includes vacuum chamber, melting pot with silicone, electron beam gun, cooler installed on outer surface of melting pot wall in its upper part. It also includes the capacity in which there coaxially arranged is melting pot, heat insulator located between melting pot and cooled capacity, and heat conducting element located between cooled capacity and melting pot bottom along their longitudinal axis.
EFFECT: increasing silicone cleaning speed and its cleanness, as well as reducing the cleaning time and decreasing power and material costs.
