FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of silicon from silicon oxide. The method includes heating the top surface of silicon, feeding silicon oxide onto the heated silicon to obtain silicon monoxide; blowing the obtained silicon monoxide with hydrogen to obtain pure silicon and cooling the obtained silicon on the sides with removal of impurities formed while cooling on the silicon surface as they accumulate. All reactions are conducted the same reactor. An apparatus for producing silicon from oxides is also provided.
EFFECT: high technological effectiveness of the process by carrying out the process in one apparatus and high volume of the obtained end product.
