FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ICE comprises housing with cylindrical work chamber and separators of suction and delivery chambers, flexible impeller-piston and wave generator with radial gap seal. Said flexible multilayer impeller-piston consists of alternating wings with thickness equal to that of work chamber and shorter rings. Assemblage of said rings produce labyrinth seal of face clearance in slip joint between flexible impeller-piston and engine cover. Said flexible impeller-piston can be made up of multilayer tape spring with adjacent ring width varying in steps. Ends of aforesaid spring are welded or glued to adjoining rings. Said multilayer tape spring can be locked by fitting it inside outer and inner cylindrical thin-wall rings of impeller-piston.
