METHOD OF EYE MICROCIRCULATION TYPING IN PATIENTS SUFFERING RETINAL VEIN THROMBOSES Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B3/00

Abstract RU 2403858 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and aims at eye microcirculation typing in the patients with retinal vein thromboses. The following microcirculation indicators are measured in a prone patient for 3 to 6 minutes with the use of a helium-neon laser detector of wave length 0.63 mcm fixed in an outer inferior quadrant of the eyeball on a surface of the bulbar conjunctiva: perfusion - M, oxygen saturation - SO2, myogenic tone (MT) and neurogenic tone (NT), shunt factor (SF), amplitude-frequency blood flow oscillation spectrum, particularly in the respiratory (Ar) and cardiac (Ac) ranges. After the installation of 10% irifrin in the conjunctival cavity, the microcirculation indicators are measured again 3 minutes later. If observing pharmacological test induced M, SO2 and SF decrease with higher MT and NT values, and Ac increase, a spastic reaction is stated, while M and SF increase, SO2, MT, NT decrease, and high Ar value as compared with the other frequencies enable to show a paradoxical reaction; if M, MT and SF decreased, and SO2 changed slightly, and higher NT with increasing Ar, a disregulatory reaction is determined.

EFFECT: method allows microcirculation typing, prediction of possible complications and enables the correction of therapeutic approaches.
