FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, specifically to a method for synthesis of N,N-dimethyl-N-(4-quinolinylmethyl)amine of formula
, which involves reaction of o- iodoaniline with c N1,N1,N4,N4-tetramethyl-2-butyne-1,4-diamine in the presence of lithium chloride salt (LiCl), potassium carbonate (K2CO3), palladium catalyst Pd(OAc)2, in molar ratio of o-iodoaniline: N1,N1,N4,N4-tetramethyl-2-butyne-1,4-diamine: LiCl: K2CO3: Pd(OAc)2=10:(10-14):10:50:(0.3-0.7) at temperature of 100°C and atmospheric pressure for 18-22 hours in dimethyl formamide as a solvent.
EFFECT: novel method for synthesis of said compound, characterised by high output of the desired product.
