FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves steps for supplying saccharide, polyol and acid serving as a catalyst into a reactor, polycondensation of anhydrous syrup and simultaneous removal of water formed during the reaction. The reactor is a kneading-mixing device with blades rotating in opposite sides and heats to temperature between 160°C and 220°C. The saccharide, polyol and acid serving as a catalyst are fed into the reactor simultaneously or successively. Water formed during the reaction is removed from the kneading-mixing device through kneading-mixing treatment of the ingredients fed into the reactor and anhydrous syrup at low pressure between 50 and 400 hPa in the kneading-mixing device. During the polycondensation process, anhydrous syrup is continuously mixed in the reactor until achieving the required degree of polymerisation.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain arbitrarily bonded polysaccharides with high molecular weight and higher heat resistance and chemical stability, with reduced formation of highly coloured by-products of the reaction owing to efficient removal of water formed during the reaction and owing to low amount of residual reducing sugars.
