FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves leaving of final slag of previous melting, application of slag skull on converter lining, scrap charge, cast iron pouring, with phosphorus content of not more than 0.20%, oxygen bath blowing with flow rate of 2.2-3.0 m3/min·t with change of its flow rate and position of tuyere above still bath to the specified content of carbon in metal, MgO mass fraction in final slag of 6 to 9 %, distributed introduction of lime and magnesium-containing materials, addition of manganese-containing materials with total flow rate of 2-7 kg/t. Cast iron is poured at ratio of P/Mn≥1 in it. Consumption of lime and manganese-containing materials for melting is maintained in ratio 1:(0.02-0.10); at that, 30-90% of total consumption of magnesium-containing materials is introduced to the left final slag of previous melting before slag skull is added. Oxygen flow rate is decreased at blowing of metal, during intense decarbonisaion to 1.5-2.2 m3/min·t.
EFFECT: improving slag formation conditions, decreasing the phosphorus content in metal and increasing steel output.
