FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: tandem-type sealing includes housing, retaining ring installed on shaft and rings spring-loaded to it on both sides, movable in axial direction and forming pairs of sealings together with retaining ring, and system of active electromagnetic gap adjustment. System includes at least one control circuit of each of gaps between retaining and movable rings; each circuit includes gap sensor and electromagnet. Stator of each electromagnet is connected to housing, movable ring of each pair of seals is connected to movable yoke of the appropriate electromagnet and to movable part of the appropriate gap sensor between that movable yoke and housing. In addition, design of fixed part of each gap sensor can be provided with possibility of measurement in axial gap direction between retaining disc and housing. In circuits of automatic electromagnetic gap adjustment system there provided are amplifiers converting sensor signals to currents of electromagnets, automatically supporting the specified gaps (5-7 mcm), which is provided with the appropriate adjustment of circuits. Structurally, amplifiers are made in the form of electronic control unit arranged outside the sealing design.
EFFECT: providing durability of sealing assemblies, improving operating reliability of compressor.
