FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: sealing with active electromagnetic gap adjustment includes a disc installed on a rotor, an annular electromagnet with winding and at least two poles, which is arranged in the housing and spring-loaded relative to the housing in axial direction and forming together with the disc a pair of sealing with an axial working gap, and a system of active electromagnetic gap adjustment, which is connected to the electromagnet winding. Disc is made from non-magnetic material with an annular slot, in which there coaxially arranged are at least two annular constant magnets magnetised in axial direction with alternating polarity, the first edges of which are closed with an annular magnetic connection strap, and the second edges face the working gap of the sealing pair; each pole of annular electromagnet with the end face of annular constant magnet, which corresponds to it, are located at the same distance from the rotor axis, and the active electromagnetic gap adjustment system is connected to annular electromagnet winding so that repulsive force can occur in the sealing pair at current supply.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of device.
