FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: portal of nuclear power plant comprises sluice for nuclear fuel container supply mounted on external side surface of protective reinforced concrete shell. Opposite to sluice, there is a rack arranged with transport opening for passage of crane cross beam and platform for portal supports. Between supports of portal under transport opening there is a shock-absorbing reservoir mounted, width and length of which comply with the distance between supports of portal, at the same time gravel and sand are laid in layers into shock-absorbing reservoir, and upper edge of reservoir is arranged at the level of platform and is covered with hydraulic insulating material.
EFFECT: improved safety of nuclear fuel handling operation.
