METHOD FOR FORECASTING OF ROTAVIRUS INFECTION COURSE IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2405411 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to diagnostics in pediatrics, and may be used to forecast course of rotavirus infection in children. For this purpose concentration of secretory immunoglobulin A (slgA) is identified in feces at the 5 - 7 day of disease. If slgA reduces in feces from 142.0 to 229.1 mg/l, uneven course of disease is forecasted. If level of slgA increases from 242.7 to 360.98 mg/l, even course of rotavirus infection is forecasted.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to detect patients with significant changes in system of local immunity at early stages of disease and to administer adequate therapy with inclusion of immune correction agents.
