SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used in determining indications for carrying out transpupillar diode-laser thermotherapy in brachitherapy of intraocular tumour. Area of intraocular tumour surface (S) available for exposure to diode-laser radiation is determined by empirical formula S=2πRH, where R is radius of ball, whose spherical segment is intraocular tumour, available for exposure to diode-laser radiation, H is height of spherical segment, which is represented by intraocular tumour, available for exposure to diode-laser radiation, π=3.14, and, if area of surface of intraocular tumour, available for exposure to diode-laser radiation, constitutes 30% and more of total area of surface of intraocular tumour, transpupillar diode-laser thermotherapy in brachitherapy of intraocular tumour is indicated.

EFFECT: method allows to determine indications to carrying out transpuppilar diode-laser thermotherapy in brachitherapy of intraocular tumour.
