FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves fixing thermocouple to heat-insulating material disk before fixing ophthalmoapplicator to sclera. Disk thickness is equal to 0.5-0.8 mm. The thermocouple with the disk is placed between the ophthalmoapplicator and sclera. Free disk surface is turned towards the ophthalmoapplicator and disk surface with the thermocouple is turned towards sclera. The ophthalmoapplicator being sutured, transpupillary diode-laser heat treatment is applied in 24-48 h by means of diode laser with wavelength equal to 810 nm in continuous mode during each application with spot diameter being equal to 0.5-3 mm on tumor surface and power being from 100 to 1000 mW. Sclera temperature is measured during each application. The temperature rising above 41.8°С, laser treatment is continued for still more 55-65 s.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
