FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a suppository applicator device, i.e. to human body cavity and canal drug delivery system. The ready-assembled system comprises a drug and a body cavity drug delivery system. The delivery system accommodates a device for giving contains a cylindrical element with an apertured far end, and a set of petals passing axially outside from the far end. The petals interact with the aperture to create a slot at said far end of the cylindrical element to place a drug to be released. Each petal has a base attached to said far end of the cylindrical element, and a truncated flexible tip at the end. Each petal is sized and shaped so that said tips only are licked with the drug in its centre. A plunger element movable to release the drug in the slot, passes through a channel of the cylindrical element. In the second version, the system comprises a package device for packing the ready-assembled system together with the drug. Besides each petal of the cylindrical element is sized and shaped so that said tips only are linked with the drug in its centre due to the fact that a greater portion of the drug in the slot projects outside over the petals in order to simplify drug release from the slot. The body cavity drug or similar delivery system contains a cylindrical element having an apertured far end, a near end opposite to the far end, a first section extending from the near end and having an end distant from the near end of the cylindrical element, and a second section extending from said end of the first section axially essentially and ending at the far end of the cylindrical element. The cylindrical element has a first diametre at the interface of the first and second sections, and a second diametre at the far end of the cylindrical element. The second section is cone-shaped so that the second diametre exceeds the first one. The cylindrical element has a set of petals passing axially outside from the far end. The petals interact with the aperture to create a slot at the far end of the cylindrical element to place a drug to be released. Each petal has a truncated flexible tip. The petals are radially bent inside all over axially the far end of the cylindrical element to the tips. The tips are sized and shaped to be linked with the drug in its centre so that a greater portion of the drug in the slot projects outside over the petals in order to simplify drug release from the slot. A plunger element movable to release the drug in the slot, passes through a channel of the cylindrical element.
EFFECT: eliminated problems of suppository ejection from the applicators if being adhered thereto.
